Research Assistance In accordance with our all-volunteer traditions, we do not charge research fees. (Nor can we devote more than a reasonable amount of time to search for obscure or non-existent documentation.) We do not retrieve documents off-site. For members, we will establish E-Mail Communication and identify resources within the Library–and share what expertise we have–that are pertinent to their research and make those findings available in as convenient a way as we can, including by e-mail attachment. For long-time members, we go to extra lengths, as warranted by particular circumstances. We have formed many friendly and mutually beneficial relationships over the years.
Access to a Private Network of fellow members interested in, and with a knowledge of, Greene County genealogy and history. This is an opportunity to post queries and share information within the membership. At yours and our discretion, we will publish Member research directly to our web site.
There are 3 ways TO JOIN: DONATE $25 (top right, Home Page) for access to the Member Portal for 1 year. We will send an email with Username and Password when we receive your Donation, usually a one-day turnaround.
Membership Levels:
Regular $25
Patron $60
Professional/ Corporate $100
The Patron and Corporate levels help support ongoing projects to enhance our holdings and technology. We continuously add to and refine the Obituary Collection which, like all the Society’s doings, is a volunteer effort. Over the years, we have been the beneficiary of extraordinary contributions in establishing CGS to its present capabilities.
For long-time Members–or those considering becoming one–with a PayPal account, you can activate an automatic payment profile (below) which will renew each year. We will notify you as the renewal date approaches with an opportunity to opt out. (Refunds are easily made.)
